Volunteering
On a lovely day, there's nothing better than being out in the lavender field. If it's wet, we can work in the polytunnel, taking cuttings and potting on plants.
We have started the daunting task of replanting the field but you'll be pleased to hear we're not doing it all in one go! In Provence, apparently, they replant on a seven year cycle.
During our work parties, usually on a Saturday morning 10am - 1pm, we do regular tasks such as mowing, taking cuttings, weeding, planting and occasional spraying. Please contact us (carshalonlavender@yahoo.co.uk) if you plan to take part so that we can ensure there will be enough cups for tea!
We hope to see you in the field soon.
What you need to know:
- Come prepared for rain or shine
- Gloves and tools are provided but if you prefer to use your own, please bring them
- Light refreshments are provided
- The site has very basic toilet facilities and the ground can be uneven
