Volunteering
There are a number of ways you can volunteer with Carshalton Lavender:
Regular Volunteering
Most Saturday mornings find members of Carshalton Lavender, particularly stalwarts Roger and Laurie, hard at work in the lavender field doing range of activities - weeding, mowing, strimming...
If you'd like to help out - it's a great way to get some exercise, fresh air and generally get away from it all - do join us. Please call 07948 174907 in advance to make sure someone will be there. Please bring your own refreshments.
Work Parties
From time to time, we organise volunteer work parties to complete specific tasks. Light refreshments are provided. There are very basic toilet facilities on the site. Make sure you come prepared for rain or shine. Please contact us (jane.carshalonlavender@yahoo.co.uk) if you plan to take part so that we can ensure there will be enough cups for tea!

We have started the daunting task of replanting the field but you'll be pleased to hear we're not doing it all in one go! In Provence, apparently, they replant on a seven year cycle.
If the weather is kind to us, we'll be out in the field planting. If it's wet, we'll be in the polytunnel potting on plants which have been grown from cuttings taken from the field. We may also take some cuttings for next year's replanting. We provide gloves and any tools that will be needed.
The entrance to the lavender field in Stanley Road Allotments is via the gate next to South Carshalton Day Centre just off Oaks Way, Carshalton Beeches, SM5 4NQ. Carshalton Beeches is the closest train station; there are occasionally engineering works at the weekend so please do check before you travel if you're coming from further afield.
