Carshalton Lavender

Carshalton Lavender is the Observer Ethical Award-winning community group that manages 3 acres of lavender fields on Stanley Road Allotments (SM5 4NQ) in Carshalton Beeches in the London Borough of Sutton. We have a pick your own lavender harvest every July. Lavender oil is distilled from the remaining flowers to sell throughout the rest of the year.

We're still harvesting the lavender to distil to make oil and there are a variety of jobs to do from taking cuttings to quite physical work. If you're interested in helping in the field, please see the volunteering pages for further details.

The entrance to the lavender field in Stanley Road Allotments for work parties or the harvest is via the gate next to South Carshalton Day Centre just off Oaks Way, Carshalton Beeches, SM5 4NQ. The field is not open to the public at any other time, except by prior arrangement.

The 2010 Carshalton Lavender Community PYO Harvest was held on the weekend of 24-25 July 2010.

Carshalton Lavender held London's first eco-dating event on Saturday 18 April 2009. Please see the news pages for further details.
